Volunteering at MoMA
Join the MoMA Volunteer Program and contribute to MoMA’s mission to inspire and engage! Connect with other art enthusiasts, share your knowledge, and become a part of our community.
MoMA volunteers are an essential and valued part of the Museum’s operation, providing daily support to our educational programs and the Visitor Engagement team. As a MoMA volunteer you will not only have the opportunity to see how a major art museum creates a remarkable experience, you’ll also play a special role by helping visitors discover something new each time they come to the Museum.
Volunteer positions are varied and flexible. We ask that all incoming volunteers commit to at least six months of service and be available to perform at least one shift per month.
To apply to the MoMA Volunteer Program, please complete our online application form. If you have any questions about our program or require assistance with the application process, please send an email to [email protected].
There are no current volunteer openings at MoMA, but we are still accepting applications for the future. We will be in touch with more information when an opening becomes available. Candidates will be accepted into our program based on their availability, enthusiasm for MoMA’s mission, and potential to make a positive impact on our community.
Ideal candidates should possess an appreciation for art, a genuine interest in engaging with the public, keen attention to detail, and a positive attitude. MoMA volunteers are proactive, adaptable, and understand that reliability is key. All applicants must be fully iPad proficient.
